“The definitive aim of catechesis is to put people not only in touch, but in communion and intimacy with Jesus Christ: only He can lead us to the love of the Father in the Spirit and make us share in the life of the Holy Trinity.”
-Pope Saint John Paul II
Catechesi Tradendae, No. 5
Hello and welcome to the Catechesis page of the Diocese of Steubenville. If you are a parochial catechist, parent, teacher or simply an interested individual, we hope that you find something helpful on this page!
The Diocese strives to ensure that authentic catechesis takes place within our parishes and that catechists have the formation and resources they need to carry out the beautiful task which they have been entrusted with. For this reason, the Office of Christian Formation and Schools coordinates a number of Catechist Seminars throughout the year at different locations in the Diocese. Below, you will find the current list of Catechist Seminars which are being offered. You will also find the Catechist Formation Handbook and a number of forms which you may need as a DRE or catechist.
If you have any questions, please contact Carolyn Crabtree (Catechetical Consultant for the Diocese) at the Chancery. Phone: (740) 282-3631, ext. 155 Email: email@example.com.
