Diocesan Celebration for Families!

In recognition of the 50th Anniversary of Blessed Pope Paul VI’s landmark encyclical, Humanae Vitae, the Diocese of Steubenville will be hosting a special event. Married couples, families, and all the faithful are invited to join Bishop Jeffrey Monforton to celebrate the Church’s beautiful teachings on married love and the gift of new life.

Saturday, February 10, 2018 at St. Benedict Church (701 Gomber Ave, Cambridge Ohio).

The event will include a Mass at 11:00 AM followed by the individual blessing of each family. The event will conclude with a meal with the Bishop (potluck-style: please bring a dish to share!).

Bishop Monforton has requested that each family come forward after Mass to receive an individual blessing.

Each family will be invited and commissioned by the Bishop to participate in a new initiative to pray for other families of our diocese, and will be presented with a special prayer card for the occasion.

Please RSVP with the number of people attending from your family by contacting Joe Schmidt of the Office of Marriage, Family and Respect Life at jschmidt@diosteub.org or 740-373-3643.

Come and enjoy fellowship and support in living out this beautiful vocation.
