The Catholic Church has always held  that direct abortion is a grave violation of God's Law.  Science has proven that human life begins at the moment of conception.  From the moment of conception a new human being comes into existence, genetically distinct from father or mother. Our faith teaches us that this new human life must be protected and nourished as the image of God.

As Christians we have a moral obligation to oppose this grave evil.  We also have a serious duty to reach out in love and support of those who are considering abortion and those who have already experienced the trauma of abortion. 

Project Rachel is a ministry of hope and healing for those who have been involved in abortion. Women (and men) often carry the burden of abortion for years and even decades. They feel shame, regret, loss, despair, etc. But healing and forgiveness are available!
