In 1931, a house was purchased in Walhonding, a small village close by, where a great many Catholic Slovaks lived. It was changed into a little chapel; giving it the name of St. Mary. The people came every Sunday to say the Rosary. Mass was celebrated for them as often as possible, giving them a chance to go to Confession and to receive Holy Communion.
